Ascension on Wax is a Berlin-based house music label that grew out of the Berlin Ascension parties begun in 2019, adding a jazz and soul flavour to techno-heavy Berlin. Run by Max Logsdail and Lavan Mcnaughton, it focuses on collaboration with visual artists and dance music producers. Releases come as limited vinyl pressings with artwork incorporated into the classic gatefold format, alongside standard DJ releases. The name Ascension is a homage to John Coltrane's 1966 free jazz album.
