Guesthouse Music is a house music label based in Oakland, California, founded in winter 2004. The label has released over 300 vinyl and digital recordings from artists across the globe, with a roster of more than 200 musicians. It is run by producer and DJ Mes (Jason Sutton), who also serves as the label's A&R. The label's sound blends old-school and new-school house influences, with a focus on groovy, bass-heavy productions. One of its most successful releases is Gramophonedzie's 'Why Don't You', which was licensed by Capitol Records and has sold 150,000 copies. Other charting successes on Beatport include Poncho Warwick's 'Tainted Jazz', which spent three years in the Top 10 Chill Out Chart. Further Beatport Top 10 hits from the label include DJ Dan's 'Out of Nowhere' and Legitimate Scandal's 'Fu Gee La'.
