Founded in New York in 2009 by Anané, the label Nulu takes its name as an acronym for 'Nothing Ultimately Leaves Us.' Anané, a DJ, singer, songwriter, producer, and philanthropist, pioneered the Afro House and Afro Tech sound. Nulu Movement, the party brand of Nulu Music and Nulu Electronic, began as a monthly residency at Le Bain in New York. Focusing on genres including Afro Tech, House, Deep House, Tech House, and Techno, Nulu Electronic's catalog includes releases by artists such as Cristian Vinci, Masaki Morii, and Funkky.
