Founded in 1997 by Jazzanova as a platform for their own releases, Sonar Kollektiv has since put out over 600 releases across genres including jazz, funk, soul, house, and techno. The label, based in Germany, provided early platforms for artists such as Âme, Fat Freddy’s Drop, and Benny Sings, and was the launchpad for Eric Wahlforss, who later co-founded SoundCloud.
