LCD Soundsystem drone trick
Delete the fundamental, keep the drone.
Set a single sawtooth as a sustained note. Insert an EQ with tight notches at the fundamental and each octave above, leaving non-octave harmonics. Feed that into a sidechain compressor keyed by the kick, then a tape saturator so harmonics pump with the duck. Add plate reverb with 100 ms pre-delay on a send.
