BEN BÖHMER'S 4-1-5 PAD TRICK

Don't play plain triads on IV–I–V.

In Ab, play IV–I–V as sus2/add9 voicings (Dbadd9, Abadd9, Ebadd9); put the 9th on top (Eb, Bb, F). Bus guitar samples to a long feedback delay and a granular pitch-shifter in parallel; blend their wet returns into the chord bus. The nines and smeared feedback make plain triads feel like Böhmer pads.
