Make that weird hat the conductor.
Duplicate your wonky MIDI clip onto a kick track. Insert a MIDI Velocity device set to Mode: Gate, Range: 100-127, leaving only the accents. Group kick and hats, then sidechain a compressor on the main kick from the hat group—0.5 ms attack, lowest release. The low-end breathes with the hat accents, locking groove without drum rack edits.
