Bouncit's free delay ducks repeats so it doesn't fight the mix

There's a free delay out today that ducks its repeats out of the way, then lets them bloom in the gaps. You want it on a return track with a clap or vocal.

Bouncit: a stereo delay that ducks itself out of the way(free)

Ducking on a delay means you don't automate levels to keep the mix clean — this one pulls repeats down while signal hits, then lets them swell back. The swing parameter adds right-channel offset, not just timing skew — it can push the stereo bounce up to 100%. Freeze is a buffer looper for transitions. It's free and built with tight feedback filtering so it won't run away on you.

▶ Turn a snap into a kit: Drum Sampler with Omari Jazz & Ivy Rossiter

Sub oscillator + filter + decay makes a kick, noise + filter makes a snare, and noise, transposition, and velocity-to-hold modulation shape hi-hats — all from one snap. The velocity-to-hold routing for hat variation is a move you'll steal. Randomize MIDI velocity with cmd+drag to push the modulation.

▶ Kolter's method for a Beatport-charting groove

He pulls apart his own track using Live's spectral referencing tool to match levels against a reference, Convert Audio to MIDI for the bassline, and a custom V drum isolator rack to split the loop into kick, open hat, clap, snare. Bounce isolated stems with cmd+B, low-cut the loop for a top layer. The spectral sidechain level-matching trick alone is worth opening Live for.

▶ The call-and-response bassline in G# minor taking over house

Layer saw and square waves in Operator, no FM, full envelope sustain, add a clean sine for sub, and set a low-pass filter deep. Keep resonance at zero or very low — that's the difference between a tight low end and mud. The melody is a two-bar phrase: root-3rd-4th, then 6th to 3rd skipping the 4th. Write rhythm on one note first, then add intervals, sidechain lightly, and cut a small bit of sub with EQ. Scale mode keeps you in key.

Panoramic: a mastering stereo field processor with a Hilbert Steal and no comb filtering

No time offsets, no modulation — so mono collapse is comb-filter-free. The Steal function derives harmonics from the mid channel via a Hilbert transform and pushes them into the sides without shifting the centre image. You get side-only parallel compression, odd-order saturation on the sides, dynamic high-frequency EQ on the side, elliptical filter pre or post, and an Air blend. $69, macOS now, Windows build testing for mid-September. Worth a look if you need width that survives a club mono check.
