Add Ableton Utility to your pad channel.
Automate Utility’s Gain knob — right-click it and choose ‘Show Automation’.
Draw a slow ramp over 16 bars: start fully muted (gain at its minimum), end at the default position.

why it works

A filter sweep progressively removes low frequencies, thinning the entrance; volume automation fades the entire frequency range in together, so the pad arrives with its full weight.
