De-ess your drum bus.
Feed your drum bus into Waves Smack, Mix at 50%. Send the bus through an EQ boosting 7 kHz into Smack's sidechain input — compression now only clamps harsh cymbal splash. Use fast Attack/Release. Insert an expander after Smack (1:2 ratio, Threshold just above noise floor) to sharpen transients.
