Never ride the full acapella

Load the vocal into Simpler and set a tight 4-bar loop — avoid dragging the full acapella. Then use the Transpose knob to shift the loop’s tonic until it matches your sub’s root (e.g., B). This makes the vocal lock with the bassline, turning it into a hook instead of a karaoke ride.
